Fake Food Issues Around The World

Presently there are so many food issues around the world, the food issues not only aspect human healthy sometimes it also threaten humans and animals lives. Normal food issues we had been go through were obesity, anorexia and food waste, all these food issues are concerning by the whole, and people start to get serious to solve and overcome these food issues. However, fake food also became an issues to all the consumers in these current years, some people get a serious affect by taken the fake food.

The first appeared fake food issue is China milk powder scandal in 2008,the brief of the milk powder scandal was the China authorities confirmed the milk powder was produced by the Chinese daily giant Sanlu Group, inside the milk powder contaminated with Melamine which chemical used to make plastics and strictly illegal add into food products. The company add melamine inside the milk powder to boost their apparent protein content. On September 2008, Chinese Health Ministry authorities announced at least 3 babies had death, over 6200 babies had fallen ill and many developing kidney stone because of drinking the toxic milk powder.

Besides that, recently in China popped up others fake food scandals, such as fake rice, fake egg, fake bird nest, fake walnut and used rat meat to represent beef and lamb. First let’s talk about fake rice, “ Chinese Companies Accused of Selling Potentially Deadly Plastic Rice ” this was a head letter on 24th June 2015. The initiator of this scandal was Wuchang Rice Company, this company every month only can produced 800k of real rice and 10 million of rice from this company has been sold which mean there is more than 9 million of fake rice has been sold to public. At the same time China produced plastic rice for 4 years and now the fake rice still in the market, the fake rice is distinguished from natural rice when is raw and the company is smart because they mixed the fake rice with the real rice. So the only way we can differentiate the fake rice only when is it cooked. The fake rice will still remain hard and people who consume the fake rice will difficult to digest it. The official from the Chinese Restaurant Association from China had been announced eating 3 bowls of plastic rice equal consuming 1 plastic bag. People who over consume the fake rice will cause a wreak damage on the digestive system because the fake rice made by sweet potato, potato with industrial synthetic resin.

Another fake food is fake walnut filled with cement this happened at Zhengzhou, Henan on 15th February 2012. That is a man named Mr.Li who bought the walnut from the street vendor once he got home and open the walnut, he found out inside the walnut are cement. The process of make the walnut was people open the walnut husk properly and emptied the nutmeat, filled the cement inside the husk and using glue to seal and concrete it. Some of vendor tried as hard as they can to make the walnut looks real they tried to wrap the cement with paper and put in the walnut husk so when the customer take the walnut can fill the “ nutmeat” inside the husk. Once the vendor took out the real nutmeat and put the cement inside the walnut husk they can double up their profit to sell the fake walnut and the nutmeat at the same time.

Bird’s nest has a lot of collagen that is extremely good for human skins. Bird’s nest is immensely famous and common in Asia especially Southeast Asia. Bird’s nest is a priceless health care product especially there is one type of bird’s nest call “red bird’s nest/blood bird’s nest”, this type of bird’s nest is really rare because it came out from natural, only from the bird’s nest in the cave and inside the cave have a plenty mineral just can let the bird’s nest turn the color to orange, that is the reason people called it blood bird’s nest. Since human keep destroying the environment there is not any blood bird’s nest anymore, but they is scandal came out was consumers ate the blood’s nest and get healthy problem. Since that time people started to check all the blood bird’s nest and figured out those blood bird’s nest are fake. There are two ways to produce the fake blood bird’s nest, one is dying the color to the normal bird’s nest to orange color and dry it up; second is used the stool in the bird’s nest to burn it turn to orange color.

The biggest common point of this series of fake food issues are the businessmen tried to cut down and reducing the cost to earn a huge of profit in a wicked way, people tried to make profit for themselves did not consider and care enough to their consumers even the consumer is a new born baby.
